Phil Ivey at 2009 World Series of Poker

Phil Ivey makes the 2009 WSOP Final Table

Finally!  After being on a roll all year Phil Ivey is part of the “November Nine” and will battle to be the 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion.  The nine final players will meet again November 7-10 to decide the champion.  The winner will win over $8.5 million, but even ninth place pays a staggering $1,263,602.

Phil Ivey has been hot all year and has already won 2 WSOP bracelets this year (making that 7 total bracelets).  He won his 6th WSOP bracelet in $2.5K No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Lowball (event 8) and won $96,367.  The Phil won his 7th WSOP bracelet at $2.5K Omaha/Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo (event 25)  for $220,538.

Even with all of Phil Iveys fame, he has never won a WSOP main event.  Could 2009 be the year?  Many people think so.
