On Wednesday June 29,2011 Full Tilt Poker, an online poker gaming site, lost their license. Their license was suspended by Alderney Gambling Control Commission. That same day, then shut down the entire website, and any current games that were going on during that time were stopped as well.
AGCC is investigating the licenses that were held by Full Tilt. They believe that the business associates that work for Full Titl Poker, has something going on with the Alderney legislation. This may have much to do with fraud. People that were in the middle of playing games online that day, were unable to log back in, or cash out any funds that they may have had in their accounts. There is no reports regarding if any of the players will receive their deposits back. It may have to wait until the investigation is complete. This goes for both UK players as well as American players in the U.S.
There have been reports of Full Tilt Poker, which is operated out of the U.K, not paying out U.S. players. They have been refusing payments for some reason. With that said, they are already facing criminal charges against them in the U.S. that are considered serious. They are also being sued by Phil Ivey, their popular online pro, so soemthing must not be right with this company, if everyone is after them. There are also two other online poker sites that are facing some serious FBI charges.
People just need to real cautious when playing online games, because some of these sites may not be what they say they are. If people start facing any problems with these sites refusing to pay them any of the money they earned, that should raise a red flag right there. This just goes to show you that the majority of these online game sites cannot be trusted.
