FTOPS XIV Underway: Winners & Weekend

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series XIV is in full swing, having kicked off on Wednesday (or Wednesday, November 4) with Event #1 the $200 + $16 NL Hold’em 6-max $1 million guarantee event hosted by Full Tilt Pro Allen Cunningham, and the FTOPS XIV’s first winner was declared. s00tedj0kers89 was his (or her?) name, beating out 4,693 other players to take the first prize of $120,000; runner-up was kev19 who took the respectable $115,000 second prize. There were 29 Full Tilt Red Pros competing in the event, and 600 players cashed.

Yesterday (or Thursday, November 5) saw two events go down: Event #3, the $200 + $16 6-max 7 game mix, with a $150,000 prize pool to which 838 players turned out and RymesWOrange took first prize; and Event #4, the $500 + $35 3x shootout with a $300,000 prize pool to which 729 players showed up and chrispeace took first prize.

That’s three winners down, twenty-two to go. And even though action is well underway, satellites are still going on too over at Full Tilt Poker for FTOPS XIV events, including the $2.5 million guaranteed main event.

Today’s event, #4, is a $200 + $16 Stud/8 event hosted by Jennifer Harman and boasting a $100,000 prize pool. Then this weekend sees a ton of action at the FTOPS XIV, or 5 to be precise.

3 on Saturday, November 7:

• $535 Pot Limit Omaha 6-max for $350,000
• $109 NL Holdem w/rebuys for $600,000
• $256 NL Holdem 6-max Knockout for $800,000

and 2 on Sunday, November 8:

• $535 Heads-Up NL Holdem for $500,000
• $322 NL Holdem for $1.5 million
