Phil Ivey Wins Millions in September

Phi; Ivey wins millions on full tilt poker

Phil Ivey Makes $2.2 Million in September

The action at Full Tilt Poker was fierce all of September and many players have reported having record months. Phil Ivey who I’m sure all of you already know as one of the best poker players in the world has just reported that he made a whooping 2.2 million in September. Phil played a total of 29,756 hands which means that he averaged a profit of $73.93 per hand. If I could make that a day I’d be doing awesome, but for someone to average that per hand is incredible.

A lot of Phil’s success came early and late in the month with not much happening in between the month. He posted a quick million in the first couple days of the month and another million at the end of the month.

Ivey’s largest pot of the month was for 440K against user “Lady Marmelade” on the NLHE tables. Ivey has had an amazing 2008 and has posted a total profit of 4.4 million this year which is ranked second on the cash leaderboard only trailing the famous cash game player David Benyamine. If you go back and count the stats from 2007 and this year though Ivey would be in the lead with 6.4 million with Benyamine at 5.9 million.

As you can see Ivey had one of his best months ever I’m sure in September and I hope that all of you had some luck this past month as well. There is tons of money being thrown around on online poker so sharpen your skills and grab a piece of the pie.

Full Tilt Poker Sets Record

Full Tilt Poker Record Setting September

Full Tilt has seen a very impressive September and they managed to hit a record for online cash games this month by having the largest ever pot in an online cash game. Apart from this record there were also plenty of other huge pots being played at Full Tilt. It would seem that many pros are seeking action in the Full Tilt poker room right now and almost every night is seeing a game going on.

The largest ever pot took place in the RailHeaven poker room, and right now it’s got to be the hottest poker room on the internet right now. The hand took place on a Friday morning after playing poker all night long and it involved “Patatino” and “Trex313”. The hand started off slowly but after the flop both players had all of their chips in the middle of the pot. The massive pot totalled $609,730 and is the biggest pot ever played online in a cash game. Patatino was the player who came out on top and you won’t believe it, but the winning hand was deuces.

Patatino Cards – Q/2 of Diamonds

Trex313 Cards – J/9 Diamonds

Flop – T-6-8 with two diamonds

Both players went all-in with flush draws.

The turn was a 2 of hearts and the river was a 4 of clubs.

This gave the pot to Patatino with a pair of deuces and queen high.
